Session Work
|
Where are they now ? Of course,
particular members of Europeans and How We Live have gone on to much bigger things! This page
gives a brief overview of individual appearances since the bands split. The Euros interviews
give a much more in-depth description of their activities. This is by no
means a complete listing!! Geoff has admitted to playing on over 400 records
over the years, and to detail each one would be too much!! |

Steve Hogarth
worked as a session musician in the late 1980s, playing keyboards and singing
occasional backing vocals for a number of artists. Apparently in 1988 he was
asked to join The The as their full time keyboard
player, but he declined. However, in February 1989 he joined UK group
Marillion as lead vocalist. He released a solo album called "Ice Cream
Genius" under the name "h" in 1996, accompanied by a brief
tour. Marillion have released a number of albums since Steve has
joined, and tour regularly around Europe. |

Colin Woore
has been rather quiet since the demise of How We Live in 1988, although he did
receive minor attention when Marillion's version of his co-written track
"Dry Land" entered the charts in 1992. In 1989 his track "If
You Really Need Me" appeared on a charity CD for International Hostages
release called "Everybody's Got To Learn Sometime." In 1990-91 he
worked and toured the world with Joan Armatrading.
In 1993 he co-wrote material with Tears For Fears' Curt Smith for his album
"Soul On Board", and has since worked with Robert Bell of the Blue
Nile, and Graham Lyle. He is currently working on a solo album. |

has been elusive since the Europeans split back in 1985. He is no longer involved in the music business, and now
flies long-haul all over the world as a steward with British Airways |

Geoff Dugmore
is probably the busiest session drummer in the UK today. He has worked with a
wide range of artists, from Killing Joke to Louise! One week in 1998 he
appeared on 3 of the Top 10 UK hits. In recent years he has toured with Jimmy
Nail, Paul Young and Stabbing Westward. Lately, he has worked with Led
Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, Rod Stewart, Ian McNabb, Nicola Charles,
Eric Rubin and Angela Baroldi. He is also touring
with Japanese star 'Yawaza.' |
